Dr. Andrew Zeng, AEMP, L.Ac.

Education, Experience, and Credentials

  • 8th generation in a traditional Chinese medical practice.

  • Graduated at the top of his class and earned his degree in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM), the highest-ranked TCM university in China.

  • Completed over 2000 clinical hours in several top Shanghai hospitals, including Yueyang Hospital and Longhua Hospital, where he was involved in the treatment of hundreds of patients for conditions ranging from back pain to stroke.

  • Began his acupuncture training with Teresa in 2008.

  • Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.

  • Formerly a researcher in the biotech industry in which he specialized in genetic and protein engineering.

  • Awarded a diploma in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

  • Licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington.

  • 7th generation in a traditional Chinese medical practice.

  • Has over 20 years of experience as an acupuncturist

  • Earned her western medical degree from Guangxi Medical University in Nanning, China.

  • Was a practicing oncologist and completed the continuing education program in traditional Chinese medicine at the Guangxi Cancer Institute.

  • Earned a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

  • Awarded diplomas in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

  • Licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington.

 

Specialties

  • Teresa's experience in both Western and traditional Eastern medical techniques, as well as her postgraduate degree in nutrition, allow her to provide a wide range of treatments and preventive care options.

  • Specializes in pain management, cosmetic treatments, fertility, and wellness.

  • Her patients and clients can rest assured that they will be given the most comprehensive and effective treatment possible.

Zhenlong Chen, MD (in China) & Ruixiang Hong, MD (in China)

  • Zhenlong Chen (on the right) and Ruixiang Hong (on the left), together, represent the 6th generation of a traditional Chinese medical practice and are both highly respected doctors and professors at Guangxi Medical University.

  • They are the parents of Teresa and grandparents of Andrew.

  • While they are now retired and are not directly affiliated with Rise Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, they are the inspiration for Teresa and Andrew's passion for health and wellness and have instilled in them the core values of integrity, professionalism, respect, compassion, and love.

  • They have always taught to treat everyone as family because, as human beings, we are all family.
